Dave turnes 41!!

Dave turned 41 today. Where has the time gone. He can't really be that old I tell myself, but the numbers just don't lie.

We decided to go out to dinner to someplace we'd never been before. And of course when we got to where we thought the restaurant was supposed to be, it wasn't there. We were already downtown and decided to walk over to the Riverwalk and see what we could find. With two kids five years and under our choices were limited not only by the type of restaurant we went to, but how far we could walk without them whining overly much.

We ended up at the Texas Land & Cattle. It was okay. Nothing special.

The best part was just spending time with my boys.

While we were waiting for our table I let Hayden use my camera. We ended up with over a hundred pictures before the camera battery died. Below is just a sampling of Hayden's collection.

He had a real affinity for tree trunks.

Valentines

Dave is such an incredible guy. I count my blessing daily that he is in my life. Yes he can drive me nuts on occassion, but I just love him. For Valentines Day he sent me thirty of the most beautiful tulips at work. I love tulips. Such a luck girl!

One Sixth of the way there!!

Dave has finished his first semester as a Phd student. We are officially one sixth of the way through. YAHHHH!!! This has been such a crazy semester with us moving to San Antonio and getting settled. And through all of this Dave has perservered. He thinks he needs to keep this incredible GPA like he had in Grad School. And he was kind of upset with his overall ending GPA for this first semester, but I think he did awesome and a 3.4 in nothing to shake a stick at, especially with all that took place in during the semester.

So very proud of Dave.

Thirteen Years!

Today is our Thirteenth Anniversery. Kind of a sad day as we are not together. This is the second anniversery in thirteen years we have not been together. The first was when we were moving to St. Louis in 2001 and this the second is when we are moving from St. Louis to San Antonio.

The boys treated me right though, they took me out to breakfast at IHOP. Though Dave and I couldn't spend the day together or even do anything special together the children we have created together kept me company.

Despite the temporary seperation I am so grateful for David in my life. I love that man with all my heart. And I am looking forward to reuniting my family and starting our life in San Antonio together.

Another year older!

Dave turned 40! Man I'm married to an old man. Good thing he's so cute and I love him so much. What a day! Every year I try to make his birthday a special day to make up for all the crappy birthday's from his childhood. His favorite charater is Scooby-Doo so of course he gets Scooby paper and favors. Happy 40th Birthday Dave!

Dave has been testing out the new hobby, I got him for Christmas. These are some pictures he took around the neighborhood after our snow storm the other day.
